There are 12 zodiac signs in the zodiac and no two birth charts are exactly alike. Different elements contribute to different personality types, and certain fire signs seem to reign supreme when you look at new research.

By scanning thousands of tweets, Horoscopes and Signs wanted to find out whether public opinion of each zodiac sign was higher is positive or negative. Here are the top zodiac signs in order and their corresponding popularity stats.

Taurus (Earth): 51.91% positive, 32.61% neutral, 17.19% negative
Cancer (Water): 49.54% positive, 29.75% neutral, 20.71% negative

Looking at the crowdsourced data, it seems that people love the vibrancy of fire signals, but disagree with the fun and emotionally reserved air signals. Water signs are empathetic, which makes them popular, although Scorpios’ desire to have meaningful relationships with a smaller group may explain why they come last.
